Durability North is a community interest company

DREAMING TO ACHIEVING

Durability North CIC supports Eastern European and Roma communities across the North-East by creating inclusive spaces for cultural expression, learning, and meaningful participation. Through community media, music, and partnership-led initiatives, we help individuals turn lived experience into confidence, skills, and long-term opportunity.

Who we are

We are a newly formed social enterprise based in north-east England, in Middlesbrough.

We are now planning our work and looking for more involvement from all the community.

We are aiming to provide community integration and mutual aid support to people from the Roma community and Eastern European communities including from: Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia.

Food for your Soul, Peace for your Mind

“Food for Your Soul, Peace for Your Mind” is a community support initiative for Eastern European residents and Gypsy Roma Traveller communities, offering trusted, culturally sensitive guidance to help individuals and families navigate essential services in the UK. The project provides practical support with matters such as EU Settlement Scheme applications, Council Tax and utility bills, housing, education, and access to local services.

Through a person-centred and trust-based approach, support is delivered in accessible community spaces, using flexible communication and culturally informed practice. The initiative aims to reduce stress, increase confidence and awareness of rights, strengthen community connections, and build trust between communities and local services, contributing to a more inclusive and supportive local environment.

We work for the people not on people
